We are seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in New York. This 100-day assignment starts on 08/01/2025, with shifts beginning at 7 AM and variable end times, plus on-call responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a trauma center, providing inpatient care, epidurals, general anesthesia, and handling scheduled surgeries. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting, potentially supervising CRNAs, and managing a variety of anesthesia cases. The physician will be responsible for patient care, pre-operative assessments, administering anesthesia, and post-operative monitoring.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures
• Perform pre-operative assessments and develop anesthesia plans
• Administer general anesthesia and regional nerve blocks
• Manage epidural anesthesia for appropriate cases
• Monitor patients during surgery and adjust anesthesia as needed
• Oversee post-operative care and pain management
• Potentially supervise CRNAs in anesthesia delivery
• Respond to trauma cases and emergency situations
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EHR system
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Participate in on-call rotations, including nights and weekends
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in anesthesiology
• Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in New York
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Strong clinical skills in general anesthesia and regional techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills for patient care and team collaboration
