Summary:
Nike is hiring a Footwear Designer for its Women's Training team to develop innovative and performance-driven footwear with a style-forward approach. The role requires collaboration across multiple disciplines to transform consumer insights into iconic product solutions, while participating in both formal and informal design reviews.

Position Info:

• Title: Footwear Designer

• Client: Nike

• Duration: 6-8 Month contract (Parental Leave)

• Location: Beaverton, OR

• Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop innovative footwear concepts from ideation to market launch

• Translate consumer insights into style-forward, performance-focused product designs

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, testing, and materials

• Present designs and participate in formal reviews and design critiques

• Produce technical drawings (tech packs) and visual presentations using 2D and 3D tools

• Contribute to sustainable and innovative design practices

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field, or equivalent experience

• Prior experience in innovative footwear design

• Strong sketching, rendering, and visual storytelling skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat

• Ability to create accurate 2D tech packs; 3D design experience a plus

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and sustainable design practices

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; able to lead and influence teams

• Energetic, open-minded, and receptive to feedback and diverse perspectives

• Cobbling/prototyping skills are a plus
