We are hiring a Senior Leader, Quality (Quality Lab Manager) for our facility located in Richland, Washington. This is a day shift position that typically works 8 hours. Relocation assistance is available. The primary purpose of this job is to lead the day-to-day operation of the production laboratory and manage interactions with all Specialty Materials (SM) laboratories and outside laboratories to complete required testing and achieve forecasted ship dates.

  • Direct the technical aspects of laboratory testing.
  • Manage and lead the team of ~6 lab techs.
  • Lead the quality system and have knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management system requirements.
  • Ensure that our business processes are in alignment with ATI Specialty Materials goals and remain within the operating budget.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of capital and human resource needs to meet the company's Business Plan.
  • Responsible for complying with customer specification requirements and responding to customer and internal audits.

Essential Functions (other Duties May Be Assigned)

  • Develop, implement, & manage:
    • A set of performance metrics for analytics and identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • A continuous improvement plan addressing cost reductions, technical innovations, and customer improvement focus.
    • A dynamic business plan that is in alignment with ATISM's business plan.
    • A set of business processes that ensure compliance to internal, customer, and third-party accreditation requirements.
    • Personnel development plans.
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in manufacturing quality and quality management systems.
  • Must have knowledge and working experience in ISO9001 at minimum. Aerospace standards knowledge preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or related Sciences
  • Production laboratory experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with Lean Principles in a manufacturing environment

Annual Salary: $76,900 -$122,900
