Summary:
Nike is seeking a skilled Apparel Knitwear Designer for a parental leave cover at its World Headquarters in Beaverton, OR. This role requires expertise in designing seamless and flat knit structures, with a focus on women's performance apparel. Candidates must have a strong background in knit design and be local to the area. A portfolio showcasing activewear or tight-to-body women's garments is required.

• Duration: 6-8 Month contract (Parental Leave)

• Location: Beaverton, Oregon

• Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Lead apparel design for knitwear with a focus on seamless and flat knit technologies

• Drive knit innovation by connecting design, development, and manufacturing processes

• Develop revolutionary knit concepts that enhance performance, sustainability, and aesthetics

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on product and innovation goals

• Utilize digital design tools like Illustrator and CLO for efficient concept development

• Conduct research on knit innovation and material trends to inform product development

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in fashion design, textile design, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in women's apparel design, with a focus on performance garments

• Advanced knowledge in knit structure design and textile engineering

• Strong understanding of fabric performance and knit construction techniques

• Experience with seamless product design and storytelling in product development

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with or willingness to learn CLO

• Strong aesthetic sensibility and ability to deliver innovative, consumer-focused solutions
